Robbie buying island to spot UFO's

Singer Williams is looking forward to purchase an island off California in order to spot UFOs in private.

For the 1.3-acre White Rock Island,  a bid of 415,000 pounds had been made by the singer, a 22-mile boat ride from the Los Angeles shoreline, according to friends, reported Daily Star.

Williams fell in love with White Rock while UFO hunting more than a year ago with his wife Ayda Field, 33, who is expecting their first child.

"It's a dream location for him and means he, Ayda and the baby won't have to check into any local hotels where he's always recognised," said a friend.

Williams, who attended a UFO convention in Nevada, claims to have seen three flying saucers.

"He's in negotiations and he's thrilled at the prospect of buying White Rock. Ayda's hooked on his UFO kick," said a source close to the singer.

A fan had been surprised by Robbie Williams when he appeared on Chatroulette a give a solo performance there.

Robbie appeared on Chatroulette is a video website where users linked at random to each other - to serenade 19-year-old Adam Houabi - an accountancy student from Essex, England.

Adam told The Sun newspaper: "One minute I was talking to a bloke from Algeria ... then amazingly Robbie appeared.

"I didn't believe it was really him so he pulled his shirt down to reveal his chest tattoos and showed me five cameramen round him in his Hollywood studio.

"Then Robbie told me he was recording a new song and started singing. He said it was called 'Losers' and it would be out in October.

"It was good. I liked it. I've chatted to a few strange people on Chatroulette before but never a superstar!"

A source said: "Robbie had been lined up to perform solo material and it was hoped he would sing with Take That.

"It meant organisers had to adjust the entire schedule because Robbie is an extremely high-profile performer and had been given such an important role in the finale.
