A low key Las Vegas weeding Robbie Williams was pushing but decided against heading to Sin City after realizing how long partner Ayda Field had been planning her perfect day.
The British pop star wed his American actress girlfriend at their Beverly Hills home on Saturday with a close friends and family in attendance.
Williams admits he initially wanted to escape to the bright lights of Vegas and have a quirky ceremony but backtracked on the idea because it was the biggest day of Field's life.
He tells Britain's Hello magazine, "I didn't have those marital dreams that are ingrained in women. My idea, was 'Yeah, I love you, I'm yours for life, so why don't we just pop to Las Vegas and make it official?' But then I realized how important the day is to Ayda, and that she had a day planned in her head. I thought, 'Baby, whatever you want to do.' It's about the bride, isn't it?"
And Field reveals the pair was also considering escaping to the Bahamas for a beachside ceremony, but he decided to stay at home because it felt "safe".
She adds, "We were thinking of a beach in the Bahamas, but August is hurricane season. In this house we feel safe plus we wanted the doggies to be here."
At their nuptials Williams and Field snubbed bridesmaids and ushers, choosing to walk down the aisle accompanied by their eight dogs.
