Robbie Williams set to top the charts with new album

Look probably Robbie Williams to crown his comeback with a number one album as Reality Killed The Video is on course to top the charts.
The album is outselling all comers according to midweek chart positions, having sold more than 85,000 copies during its first day.

If it stays the course until the weekend it will mean each of Williams's eight studio albums has been to number one and would be his ninth chart topper in total.
The album has already topped the iTunes chart in 16 countries across Europe.
Reality ... is the singer's first new album for three years and follows the poorly received Rudebox. He releases a new single You Know Me on December 7.

Robbie Williams' life looks like is moving into exciting places – with babies on the cards and that much longed for Take That reunion closer than ever. The 35 year old singer told Jonathan Ross he's blissfully glad with his half American, half Turkish girlfriend Ayda Field, and the group could be ready to start a family in the next few years. "She's actually broody, and I'm getting there," said Robbie, in scenes to be shown on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, this week on BBC One. He added: "I thought I was going to be a bachelor, then I was introduced to Ayda and things just changed. She's a wonderful person and I'm in love." Robbie also showed off his Take That tattoo as he revealed he's working with his former bandmates again. When asked if he would be performing and recording with his former group, he replied: "We've got together, done bits and bobs. I can't say much, but yes, I hope so." The singer also addressed concerns over his wide eyed appearance on X Factor, when he performed his new single Bodies. "The doors got stuck, I thought what are the words... I get incredibly nervous... it wasn't drugs or drink, just deer in the headlights." I've always been very nervous... You don’t know what's going on in my head. It's traumatic, actually scary."

ROBBIE WILLIAMS and MTV bosses are locked in a war of words over the star's no show at the forthcoming European Music Awards.
The singer former Take That was due to perform at the ceremony in Berlin, Germany on 5 November (09), following his current comeback, but pulled out of the event, citing "scheduling conflicts". MTV insiders claim Williams was not due to perform anywhere else and the cancellation came amid health and safety fears over his extravagant stage set.But the Angels star has hit back, insisting his show was "compromised" by budget cuts at the music network. An MTV source tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "Every star is treated the same and has to work to the same parameters. Robbie is no different. But his reps, for some reason, said nearly everything wasn't up to scratch. His no show is costing us a lot of money. We tried to be accommodating, but they walked away with a week to go. It's caused mayhem."But a spokesperson for Williams says, "The truth is MTV and the European Music Awards are victims of big budget cuts and Robbie's performance was being compromised so it was decided he wouldn't play. He actually wanted to. It is a real shame MTV could not make this happen. He performed a free concert in Berlin last week to 15,000 people. And rumour has it Eminem has pulled out of the Awards for the same reason."

Robbie Williams 'Bodies' singer has slashed the price of his English country mansion by more than 1 million because he is so desperate to move back to sunny Los Angeles.

In England after just eight months, the 'Bodies' singer and his girlfriend Ayda Field - who bought the 18th century Wiltshire house for 8.5 million in February have slashed the estate's price so they can get back to sunny Los Angeles as quickly as possible.
An insider said: "Robbie is desperate to get things moving quickly rather than hang around just to get a bit more money. Being settled back in the States quickly with Ayda is more important to him.
"He's already got a few people interested in the mansion."
The 35 year old star has previously admitted the house - which has its own helicopter hangar, temples and fountains - was an "impulse buy" when he returned to England after five years in the US.
He and Ayda were planning to make it their family home, but quickly became fed up with the rainy weather.
He currently said: "Ayda's always wanted to have the change in the seasons - and it's winter and glorious. The garden is pretty special, a winter wonderland and you just want to get cosy.
"Then it comes to summer and the weather doesn't different that much. Then you think, 'Hmm, LA was good'. Every day you wake up you're in the sun. Your body feels different, your mind feels different - so we're going back."
Although Robbie would like to keep the house, he has admitted he can't afford to maintain it if he's not living there.
He said: "I can't really afford to keep it. Maintenance is a lot. I've done a few impulse buys and it leaves you no money."

Robbie Williams: Plays free concert

Robbie Williams has given a surprise, free outdoor concert in the German capital of Berlin.
Although the concert was announced just one day beforehand, over ten thousand fans flocked to see the singer perform his new single 'Bodies'.
And despite dismal weather, they weren't disappointed.
'It was tremendous. We came here from Halle (about two hours from Berlin) extra for this,' devoted fan Anne Pomsel said.
'We left right after work and the university to drive here and made it just in time. It was actually great.'
His new album 'Reality Killed the Video Star' should go on sale later this year.

Concert breaks theatre record Robbie Williams

British pop star Robbie Williams by a performance, broadcast to more than 250 theatres around the world, on Tuesday set a world record by having the largest number of screenings of a live concert in theaters.
BBC Worldwide's that the Guinness Book of World Records confirmed that live gig of Williams' sold-out "Electric Proms" gig, shown via satellite in venues in 23 countries, marked the "most simultaneous cinematic screenings of a live concert."
Among the nations that played the broadcast in theaters are Germany, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Additional screenings will be shown in the next few weeks in auditoriums in Mexico City, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and other countries.
Williams also set a Guinness World Record when his 2009 "Close Encounters" tour sold 1.6 million tickets in one day.
