Concert breaks theatre record Robbie Williams


British pop star Robbie Williams by a performance, broadcast to more than 250 theatres around the world, on Tuesday set a world record by having the largest number of screenings of a live concert in theaters.
BBC Worldwide's that the Guinness Book of World Records confirmed that live gig of Williams' sold-out "Electric Proms" gig, shown via satellite in venues in 23 countries, marked the "most simultaneous cinematic screenings of a live concert."
Among the nations that played the broadcast in theaters are Germany, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Additional screenings will be shown in the next few weeks in auditoriums in Mexico City, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and other countries.
Williams also set a Guinness World Record when his 2009 "Close Encounters" tour sold 1.6 million tickets in one day.
