Robbie Williams ditched by fiancée Ayda Field... but only for the World Cup

Diehard football fan Robbie Williamshas been dumped by his fiancée Ayda Field – but only temporarily until the World Cup hype calms down.

The brunette beauty is understood to have walked out on the former Take That star just three days after the tournament kicked off because the singer has become obsessed with footie talk.

After Algeria versus Slovenia’s match on Sunday, Ayda decided she couldn’t take any more of her football-mad boyfriend and will stay with her mother until the coverage dies down.

he 31-year-old American actress was irritated by Robbie’s constant talk of the World Cup and said she won’t be back until it’s over.

Despite the ‘Better Man’ singer not even being with Ayda in Los Angeles during the beginning of the World Cup, he still managed to annoy her with his telephone conversations revolving around the game.

A source told The Sun: ‘Ayda said she just has to get some peace…He has invited his gang of football mates over to his house to watch the rest of the matches in his home cinema.

‘Ayda was dreading a house full of blokes chanting Three Lions and blowing vuvuzelas – so she’s legged it.’

Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow share a matey hug at Soccer Aid

With their arms around each other, it’s impossible to tell Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow have been anything other than best friends.
The former and current Take That singers shared a joke as they walked on to the pitch before the kick off of Unicef’s Soccer Aid charity match.
Although Williams, 36, made sure he upstaged Barlow in the wardrobe department.
With his hair slicked back and his patent shoes shining, Williams looked smart in a dark suit and black tie.
However, Barlow, 39, went for the more casual look. Sporting a beard and jeans, he grinned as he grabbed Robbie for a hug in front of the crowds at Old Trafford, Manchester, yesterday.

The display of affection will no doubt add fuel to the speculation that Take That are due to reunite with Williams.
A-list celebrities and football heroes – including Woody Harrelson and Mike Myers - poured out for the charity football game, which aired on ITV1 yesterday.
It saw England play against The Rest Of The World and aimed to raise more than £2.5million for vulnerable children.

Williams – who has organised Soccer Aid for the past six years – played in the England team alongside Ben Shephard, Bradley Walsh, Jamie Theakston, Ricky Hatton Teddy Sheringham and Jamie Redknapp.
While James Corden was given the role of assistant manager.

On the opposing team, Ryan Giggs and Zinedine Zidane were joined by Jens Lehmann, Gordon Ramsay, Shane Filan, Ronan Keating, and Joe Calzaghe.
They were captained by Michael Sheen – who described the event as the best experience of his life - and managed by Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish, with the help of his old Reds team-mate Ian Rush.

After 90 minutes, the game was a 2 – 2 draw, leading to a tense penalty shoot-out where Harrelson and Myers secured their team’s victory with a goal each.
But let’s hope it’s not a sign of things to come in South Africa – with The Rest Of The World beating England and taking home the trophy.

Robbie Williams takes a hit: Singer set to lose £1m on his £8m impulsive buy

Even by celebrity standards, an £8.1million ‘impulse buy’ is extravagant.

And Robbie Williams may be regretting the rash purchase of his Wiltshire estate... as he stands to lose up to £1million on its sale just a year after he bought it.

The 36-year-old singer, who is estimated to be worth £80million, has decided he ‘can’t afford’ to maintain the 71-acre country retreat, which comes complete with a seven-bedroom 18th century mansion, indoor swimming pool, helicopter hangar, library, two staff flats and a cottage.

Williams has put the sprawling country pile on sale for £7.5million with estate agent Savills, but would be expected to settle for an offer of around £400,000 less – leaving him with a £1million loss 15 months after buying the house.

And it seems the impulse purchase is not the only ill-advised decision the former Take That star has made.

His modifications to the estate, which was once owned by architect Lord Foster, have raised eyebrows among neighbours in Compton Bassett.

He has created a full-size football pitch in the grounds, and a dirt track for quad bike or ‘rage buggy’ racing through the estate’s parkland.

These additions were conspicuously absent from a two-page advertisement for the house that appeared in Country Life last week.

A source revealed: ‘Robbie used the grounds for his own interests, not really considering the impact on the picturesque estate.

‘It is, though, no wonder they haven’t been used in the pictures to sell the house in the magazine.

‘After all, football pitches and dirt tracks don’t really appeal to your average Country Life reader with millions of pounds to lavish on an estate.’

Williams – originally from Stoke-on-Trent – completed on the property in February last year after deciding to return to the UK from California, where he had been living for more than three years.

He admitted it was an impulse buy but was believed to have been enamoured with its location in the heart of crop circle country because he has an interest in the supernatural.

At first he seemed happy, saying: ‘It’s lovely down there and the people have been great with us.’

But one English summer later, he and his fiancée, American actress Ayda Field, 31, decided to sell-up and move to Los Angeles, blaming the weather.

Gemma Rochester, 19, a barmaid at local pub The White Horse, said: ‘It’s a close community and Robbie has never been part of it.’

Another villager added: ‘It’s a lovely house but he just hasn’t settled there.’

"We all got talking about songs and Robbie said he's going to write one."

Robbie Williams is a fan of BGT star Paul Burling

Britain's Got Talent star Paul Burling has claimed that Robbie Williams is a fan of his comedy impressions, according to a report.
The comedian wowed the audience and judges with his audition performance on last Saturday's episode of Cowell's reality TV talent show.

Paul explained: "I was a barman and word got round that I had this talent. Pete asked me to join his act.

Robbie Williams Arranges Pre-Nup

Robbie Williams has allegedly asked his lawyers to prepare a pre-nuptial agreement before he marries fiancée Ayda Field.
The Bodies singer is said to have wanted the legal agreement drawn up ahead of his wedding to the actress incase things don't work out so they can decide how their assets are divided if the couple were to split.
A source told The Daily Star: "They're head over heels in love with each other but are realistic about the pressures of a celebrity marriage. Both their parents are divorced and they can't be bothered to risk time, money and heartache so they think a pre-nup is essential."
The former Take That star is rumoured to be walking down the aisle with Ayda at the end of this year and is said to want an 'intimate' ceremony unlike most celebrity weddings…think the total opposite to Katie Price and Peter Andre's bash.
The insider added: "They don't want a huge showbiz wedding with glossy magazines in attendance and flashbulbs going off…"
"It is vitally important to both of them that it stays private with only a handful of people knowing where and when the event will be."

Robbie Williams's return sees rise in record sales

The British music industry has enjoyed a moderate increase in sales for the first time since 2003, despite a continuing decline in CD purchases. The digital market contributed to a 1.4% rise in sales to £928.8m in 2009, with singles performing particularly well. Successful releases from Susan Boyle and the Beatles also buoyed industry sales.
Statistics revealed by the British Phonographic Institution (BPI) show that consumers continue to be drawn to online retailers and ad-funded services, such as Spotify. The report states that online revenues, including digital tracks and video sales, rose by 51.7% to £154m in 2009. However, a spokesman for the BPI said that this did not necessarily signify that the end was in sight for physical music formats.
"Digital sales now account for a fifth of all music sales, but you can see from strong releases by musician Robbie Williams and Lady Gaga that the CD is still the bedrock of the industry. It is too early to sound the death knell for the CD just yet," the BPI's Adam Liversage told the Guardian.
Earlier this year, industry figures revealed that the singles market enjoyed its best year ever. This was largely down to the success of X Factor finalists and the Christmas chart battle between the reality TV show's winner, Joe McElderry, and American rock band Rage Against the Machine.
Liversage said at the time: "Prior to their closure last year, Woolworths and Zavvi accounted for approximately 17.9% of album sales. Their demise meant that their were fewer places to buy music on the high street." Liversage now says that CD sales faired better than many predicted given last year's high street conditions.
The burgeoning success of online models such as Spotify has also given the music industry pause for thought. The recently launched social music site Mflow, which offers listeners discounted music when they succesfully recommend new tracks to fellow users, is one of the many ways in which consumers are being offered cheaper, alternative ways of purchasing music.
The BPI chairman, Geoff Taylor, was optimistic about the latest statistics, but warned that illegal downloads continued to have a detrimental effect on sales. "It's encouraging to see industry revenues stabilise and even show modest growth in 2009. But let's put it in broader perspective: 2009's modest result follows a five-year drop in annual income, and total industry income has not exceeded £1bn since 2006. The pace of growth of new digital services is encouraging, but the size of the market continues to be constrained by competition from illegal downloads."

Robbie Williams humbled by Haiti

Robbie Williams was shocked by the conditions in which child victims of the Haiti earthquake have to live on a trip to the country yesterday (13.04.10).
Robbie Williams was humbled by the plight of "vulnerable" child victims of the Haiti earthquakes.
The 'Angels' hitmaker - who is visiting the disaster-stricken country in his position as an ambassador for UNICEF, (United Nations International Children's Fund) - met children affected by January's natural disasters and was visibly moved by the squalid conditions in which they have to live.
He said: "I met children who were injured, who had been separated from their parents and were living in temporary shelters or on the streets. This earthquake hit children the hardest. The children are so vulnerable."
The 36-year-old singer admitted he was outraged by the "risk of violence" which child refugees now face everyday.
He said: "They are living day-to-day without the basic things they need and at risk of violence and abuse. I don't know about you, but I think this is wrong and we need to put it right."
The emotional star is also launching a special challenge for Soccer Aid - a star-studded sports event which takes place on June 6 and raises money for UNICEF - on his return from the trip, called 'Keep It Up For Soccer Aid'.
The 'You Know Me' singer is asking people to be sponsored for the number of 'keepy-uppys' - juggling a football with various parts of the body without letting it fall on the floor - they can do in aid of the organisation.
Speaking of the challenge, Robbie added: "It's really simple, do as many sponsored keepy-uppys as you can to make a real difference to the lives of children."
Other stars who have visited Haiti include Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, Demi Moore and Gerard Butler.

The band had booked a recording studio in Wiltshire last weekend, but it was cancelled after Owen's wife Emma kicked him out over his 10 affairs.

Robbie Williams Kept On A Strict Excercise Regime

Ayda Field has reportedly forced the singer to hire a trainer so he can shed the pounds he has piled on in recent years. She hopes a new toned physique will inspire Robbie to finally set a wedding date, something he has been resisting.

"Robbie is training hard,” a source told British newspaper The Sun. “He is enjoying it and wants to do Ayda proud. She's putting pressure on him to shape up and set a wedding date."

Ayda is so desperate for Robbie to work out, she has even offered to babysit the personal trainer’s child so he can do extras sessions with the star. She often looks after the tot while Robbie is exercising in his Los Angeles home, and the experience has left her even more keen to start a family of her own.

"Her clock is ticking, she's all maternal," the source added.

Robbie Williams asked Ayda to marry him in January and is said to be considering tying the knot on Valentine’s Day next year.

Robbie Williams: Hits Back Over MTV No Show

ROBBIE WILLIAMS and MTV bosses are locked in a war of words over the star's no show at the forthcoming European Music Awards.
The singer former Take That was due to perform at the ceremony in Berlin, Germany on 5 November (09), following his current comeback, but pulled out of the event, citing "scheduling conflicts". MTV insiders claim Williams was not due to perform anywhere else and the cancellation came amid health and safety fears over his extravagant stage set.But the Angels star has hit back, insisting his show was "compromised" by budget cuts at the music network. An MTV source tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "Every star is treated the same and has to work to the same parameters. Robbie is no different. But his reps, for some reason, said nearly everything wasn't up to scratch. His no show is costing us a lot of money. We tried to be accommodating, but they walked away with a week to go. It's caused mayhem."But a spokesperson for Williams says, "The truth is MTV and the European Music Awards are victims of big budget cuts and Robbie's performance was being compromised so it was decided he wouldn't play. He actually wanted to. It is a real shame MTV could not make this happen. He performed a free concert in Berlin last week to 15,000 people. And rumour has it Eminem has pulled out of the Awards for the same reason."
